Jean Claude is creating an environment that helps orphans become productive adults who can help rebuild Haiti. He sees an opportunity for children and staff of Eden Garden Orphanage to serve people in Montrouis.
At the moment, his top priorities are for:
- Children to experience a strong sense of family -- safe, secure and loved. And that's why Jean Claude and his wife Ronise gave up their home in Port-Au-Prince to live with 37 children in the dormitories of Eden Garden. Twice each day they provide a family worship experience where Chrisitan values are taught. Their two children, who continue their schooling in Port-Au-Prince during the week, join Jean Claude and Ronise on weekends.
- Children to get a better education than most Haitian schools provide. He is proud of the progress of Eden Garden Academy and it's positive impact on 150 children from Montrouis who attend.
In the long term, his vision for Eden Garden is to become a self sufficient orphanage that develops productive adults who will serve others in Montrouis and become part of the rebuilding of Haiti.
